assistant Guide

The Assistant Guide supports the Lead Guide in creating a calm, engaging environment for children ages 2.9–6. This morning role (7:30 AM-1:00 PM) focuses on helping the classroom start the day smoothly, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position for the right fit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Helping prepare the classroom each morning and keeping materials organized and clean

  • Supporting children during arrival, morning work time, and transitions

  • Observing children and offering quiet, respectful guidance when needed

  • Modeling classroom routines and practical skills

  • Helping with outdoor time and lunch setup before the mid-day transition

  • Collaborating with the Lead Guide to maintain consistency and a positive atmosphere

Aftercare Lead

The Aftercare Lead works alongside the Lead Guide to support children during afternoon routines and transitions, then leads our aftercare program. This role (12:30 PM–6:00 PM) balances helping the classroom run smoothly with creating a relaxed, engaging space for children to unwind and connect after the school day. This position has the potential to grow into a full-time role for the right fit.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the Lead Guide during afternoon routines and transitions

  • Lead the aftercare program from 3:00–5:45, fostering a calm, welcoming environment

  • Observe and respond to children’s needs with guidance and encouragement

  • Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Guides to maintain consistency and a positive atmosphere

  • Keep spaces tidy and organized for the next day

Volunteer Assistant

We’re looking for a Volunteer Assistant to support our classroom. This flexible role involves helping with classroom routines, transitions, and activities, typically twice a week, with additional opportunities as needed. It’s a great way to gain hands-on experience in a Montessori-inspired environment, with the potential to grow into a paid position for the right fit.

Key responsibilities Include:

  • Support the Lead and Assistant Guides with classroom routines and transitions

  • Observe and assist children during activities and work time

  • Help maintain a calm, organized, and welcoming classroom environment

  • Assist with outdoor time and other daily routines as needed

  • Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency and a positive atmosphere
