assistant Guide
The Assistant Guide supports the Lead Guide in creating a calm, engaging environment for children ages 2.9–6. This morning role (7:30 AM-1:00 PM) focuses on helping the classroom start the day smoothly, with the opportunity to grow into a full-time position for the right fit.
Key responsibilities include:
Helping prepare the classroom each morning and keeping materials organized and clean
Supporting children during arrival, morning work time, and transitions
Observing children and offering quiet, respectful guidance when needed
Modeling classroom routines and practical skills
Helping with outdoor time and lunch setup before the mid-day transition
Collaborating with the Lead Guide to maintain consistency and a positive atmosphere
Aftercare Lead
The Aftercare Lead works alongside the Lead Guide to support children during afternoon routines and transitions, then leads our aftercare program. This role (12:30 PM–6:00 PM) balances helping the classroom run smoothly with creating a relaxed, engaging space for children to unwind and connect after the school day. This position has the potential to grow into a full-time role for the right fit.
Key responsibilities include:
Support the Lead Guide during afternoon routines and transitions
Lead the aftercare program from 3:00–5:45, fostering a calm, welcoming environment
Observe and respond to children’s needs with guidance and encouragement
Collaborate with Lead and Assistant Guides to maintain consistency and a positive atmosphere
Keep spaces tidy and organized for the next day
Volunteer Assistant
We’re looking for a Volunteer Assistant to support our classroom. This flexible role involves helping with classroom routines, transitions, and activities, typically twice a week, with additional opportunities as needed. It’s a great way to gain hands-on experience in a Montessori-inspired environment, with the potential to grow into a paid position for the right fit.
Key responsibilities Include:
Support the Lead and Assistant Guides with classroom routines and transitions
Observe and assist children during activities and work time
Help maintain a calm, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
Assist with outdoor time and other daily routines as needed
Collaborate with the team to ensure consistency and a positive atmosphere
